Needs assessment can be used as part of a company's planning process to determine gaps or needs and how to address areas for improvement (Indeed, 2022). There are several steps that are used when assessing the company's needs. Identify and define the organization's needs. Understand the resources and limitations. Collect internal information. What I have identified at my practicum setting is the need for more core employees not only to cover current census, but also for growth that has been occurring over the past few months. With not having the staff to cover the current patients it is difficult to continue to grow without having the proper staffing.
