Come up with a situation of interest to you that you could use a contingency table to model. Tell us what the rows would be and what the columns would be. You don't actually have to collect the data. For example, as an instructor, I might be interested in how much time my students spend working (since this might mean less time studying). My rows could be the different classes I am teaching like Math 31, Math 13 online, Math 13 onground. The columns could be 0-10 hrs, 10-20 hrs, 20-30 hrs, 30-40 hrs, >40 hrs. The data that would go into this table would be the numbers of students in each class who work the give number of hours in the columns.
