I need help responding to the following answer:

The Terror Management Theory is "human desire for survival, coupled with the uniquely human knowledge that death is inevitable creates an ever-present potential for anxiety that must be kept under control." (Martens, Goldenberg, and Greenburg. 2005). When reading the article does explain how the older you get the more normal it is to experience it, especially when you're around the elderly as well. For me personally, before kids, I never really thought about death and what would happen, but now that I have two kids and I raise them on my own, it's terrifying to think it could happen at any moment. When I begin to start getting worked up about it, I start to remind myself there is nothing I can do besides be safe and continue to show them how much I love them so that they will remember me if something does happen.
