It is very important that culture is understood when studying information technologies. Culture can directly affect the successful use and implementation of information technology in a various number of ways, whether it be grouped, national or organizational. When failure is experienced by an organization, the blame is usually pointed to culture. An individuals basic assumptions and beliefs towards reality, human behavior and truth is directly linked to culture. IT researchers must pay constant attention to culture because it always changes and is almost always directly responsible for the changing we are experiencing in relation to the way we communicate. As researchers, we must realize that culture will always play an important role in our information technology research.
