I need help studying for my mid-term. Jurisdiction is an area I have had a tough time with. I have to asses situations like this and need help explaining and I have posted a few examples.

Ben is a professional musician. He comes across a great deal on an amplifier and arranges to purchase the amplifier. He sends the money along with money to insure the amplifier during transit. When he later receives the shipment, he finds that the box is heavily damaged, as is the amplifier, which appears to have gotten quite wet. Ben is a resident of California. The seller is a resident of South Carolina. The seller hired a national delivery service based in Tennessee. The delivery service contracted with a Nevada delivery company to complete the delivery after the shipment reached Los Angeles. Each party denies responsibility and points the finger of blame at another. Assuming that there are no other rules regarding jurisdiction and no issue is subject to federal jurisdiction.
