I need help to design a grade for the compensation system.

The assigned job task that I received is:

1. Information Systems Technician - Fair/2 star Current - $15/hour
2. Program Assistant - Good/3 star Current $13/hour
3. Switchboard Operator - Excellent/4 star Current - $12/hour
4. Housekeeper - Good/3 star- Current - $11/hour

I understand how to calculate the Midpoint but in terms of adjustments like inflation. I do not understand how to do that

Also, I know how to set the range but when setting the range do you do that for each job, or is it in whole? these jobs are all entry-level so I understand where they should fall.

This needs to be in the form of a formal report, not a step by step guide. You need to explain the decisions you make and justify why you are making them. You need to refer to appendices you develop where you show in writing your calculations for the age of the data as well as the grade mittpoints. You are likely going to need to track down historical inflation information, referring to it and providing it as an appendix. You need to consider course material about grade minima and maxima and explain what numbers you are choosing for ranges, indicating why they are chosen and then explain, referring to appendices where the calculations are indicated what you did. Essentially you should end up with a written paper walking a reader through what you did and why you did it, further referring to supporting documentation of the calculations in appendices for the paper. A successful project is one where another person can read what you have done and replicate it exactly.
