Jointly organised by City Developments Limited (CDL) and Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS), this annual case competition offers young people a platform to champion sustainable development and SDG integration into business for positive change. - The case company will be CDL, a leading organisation in the real estate business. It builds residental and commercial properties and its business range from condonumiums, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels to fund management. CDL's extensive global network includes more than 500 subsidiaries and associated companies across 103 locations in 29 countries and regions. - The proposal should address the following: - Analyse the company's existing sustainability strategy focusing on how the SDGs are integrated into their business and operations. - Use assessment tools such as the SDG Compass or frameworks to help the company better align their strategies, as well as measure and manage their contribution to achieving the SDGS - Identify at least 3 SDGs that are material to the company and show how new business opportunities/ innovations may be introduced to support the advancement of the identified SDGs. - DAF: Sustainable financing and green accounting innovations. - DBF: Sustainable banking and green investing, fund management innovations. - DBM: Ethical hiring, sustainable supply chain, sustainable retailing innovations, green events. - DHTM: Sustainable hotel, eco-tourism. - DMK: Sustainable development action (not just awareness) campaigns. - DSW: Sustainable fitness and heathy workforce innovations
