I need help with this question as i am confused.

A researcher claims that more than 50% of all adults will get tears when they chop onions. To test this theory, a sample of 50 randomly chosen adults is gathered and each tasked with chopping onions. 28 in the sample did actually get tears in their eyes from chopping onion. At the 50% significance level does the researcher have enough evidence to support their claim? (A hypothesis should be stated, conditions checked, doing calculations and formulating a conclusion)
