I need helping forming an equation for my video game.
The game is set up as an RPG, where players "level up" to get stronger. The starting level is 1, and the maximum level is 100. I need a pair of formulas, one to define the curve of "EXP" required to level up where the early levels require few and the higher levels require more - and another to define how much EXP is gained per fight based on the level of the enemy.
I can define the average time of fights, how long I expect each level to take within different ranges, etc
Average time of a fight: 90 seconds
Let's assume 30 additional seconds are spent outside of combat for every 90 seconds of combat. Let's also assume every fight is against an enemy their same level.
Level 1-10 should take ~30 minutes.
Level 10-20 should take ~2 hours.
Level 20-30 should take ~3 hours.
Level 30-40 should take ~4 hours.
Level 40-50 should take ~6 hours.
Level 50-60 should take ~10 hours.
Level 60-70 should take ~15 hours.
Level 70-80 should take ~25 hours.
Level 80-90 should take ~40 hours.
Level 90-100 should take ~60 hours.
Yes, well two formulas.
One to determine how much EXP is needed each level to raise to the next level?
The other to determine how much EXP is gained by winning a fight based on the enemy level
