Task 1: Ideate an application where a database might be needed Have you ever thought in creating a new "killer" app? Have you ever used an application and wondered how nice and useful the application is? Have you ever thought how the data used in an application is actually modelled and stored? Using the trigger questions above, ideate with your colleague an application that can be used as a case example in your project. Document your ideas in a MS Power-Point file with the following content: - One slide providing an overall description of the application: Name of the application, goals and purposes of the app, what problems it will solve or how it will make people's lives easier, who are the target users - One slide listing possible operations (use-cases, user stories, functionality) end users can do i the application - Few slides with mockups of the user-interface. To create your mockups it is enough you use power-point drawing objects. Don't feel pressured to actually ideate a "killer" app. The questions above are just used to stimulate your creativity. The evaluation of this section will not be based on how innovative your idea is. The evaluation will be based on how properly you "document/communicate* your idea. Task 2: Create a schema of your database using: https://www.draw.io Apply the methods learned during the course to create a model of your relational database. Using the draw.io tool create a diagram (schema) that properly describes the logical structure of your database. The following elements must be modeled in your schema: - Tables - Fields (with corresponding data types) - Primary keys (at all tables) - Foreign keys (at least one FK is defined) - You should aim to have fields with the following datatypes: String (varchar), Integer, Date, Time, and at least some other data type of your choice Copy/Paste your diagram to the Power-Point file used in Task 1
