i need some help...........GIVEN INFO................In order to study selection pressures, McDonald (1989) examined variation at the Mpi locus in the amphipod crustacean Platorchestia platensis collected from a single location on Long Island, New York. There were two alleles, which we'll call A and B. The genotype frequencies in the sample of 5,800 individuals were 1203 A/A, 2919 A/B, and 1678 B/B. The estimate of the A allele proportion from the data is ,1203/5800=0.455. Using the Hardy-Weinberg formula and this estimated allele proportion, the expected genotype proportions are 0.207 A/A, 0.496 A/B, and 0.297 B/B. Determine whether to reject the null hypothesis that the data fit the expected Hardy-Weinberg proportions.
...............a. Identify the independent variable and dependent variable. Classify each as categorical or continuous.
................. b. make contingency table for observed and expected counts (putting it in a comment or text cell is fine).
...................c. Describe the appropriate null hypothesis.
..................d. Calculate p-value for NHST using ||. Include your histogram of simulation results with observed result indicated. .
..................e. Interpret (d) in the context of this study
