Test at the 5% level of significance whether or not average advertising expenditure has increased to more than $700,000. (3 marks) b. Construct a 98% confidence interval for the average annual sales last year. (3 marks) Suppose that the estimate that you calculated in part b. was not precise enough, and the director required an estimate correct to within $5m. What sample size would be necessary in order to meet this requirement? (2 marks) . If the director wanted to know if average annual sales had risen above $115m what would you conclude based on the results in part b.?
