Case 2:2AB (use differential method!) A+B2C taking place in isothermal batch reactor. Initially the reactor contains the compound A and B at concentration CA0=CB0=5.4kmol/m3. Knowing that after 2 hours the conversion degree of A was equal to 0.2 calculate the time required to obtain the conversion degree of A equal to 0.5 . Exercise 2. Consider the following liquid-phase elementary reversible chemical reaction: k1Ak2 where k1=0.751/s and k2=0.051/s. Calculate the time required to achieve 50% conversion of compound A if the process is carried out under isothermal conditions in a 0.01m3 batch reactor. Initially the reactor contains only the compound A at concentration CA0=0.55kmol/m3. Exercise 3. In the batch reactor, the autocatalytic reaction AP takes place under isothermal conditions, according to the kinetic equation: rA=kCACP Determine the time required to reach the conversion degree of A equal to 0.5 if CA0=0.1kmol/m3 and CP0=0.01kmol/m3 and the reaction rate constant is 0.1m3/(kmols)
