You will create a linear regression model that predicts the calories in a food item as a linear function of one of the other nutritional items in the data set. 1. Determine whether Total Fat, Carbs, or Sugars is most highly correlated linearly with Calories. Record the value of r for each of the three pairs of variables. Which has the strongest linear relationship with Calories? 2. Using Calories and the variable most highly correlated with Calories you found in question 1, state which is the independent variable and which is the dependent variable. 3. Find the equation of the line of best fit (linear regression model) for the variables from question 2. 4. Interpret the slope of the linear regression model in context. 5. If valid, interpret the intercept of the linear regression model in context. If it is not valid, explain why. 6.
