(e.g. attempted murder, attempted robbery) Scenario - Cleopatra likes to drive fast. She gets behind the wheel one day and races through a school zone at 90 m.p.h., not caring about the possibility that she may hit a child. She hits 9-year-old Tut, who is crossing at a crosswalk, and seriously injures him. Suppose that Cleopatra is brought up on attempted murder charges. Can she be convicted?
