I NEED TO REPLY
Edward Snowden is a hero, to every country that despises the United States. He chose to violate the Espionage Act of 1917 and disclose to the world, secrets that were best left untold and compromised the security of the United States. We don't get to choose what laws we follow, even if we think others are violating laws and our violation is then justified. The potential for damage to our countries ability to gather information on the activities of other countries, that could effect our security , outweighed any benefit. The fact that Russia is harboring him, should be enough for us to realize this guy is a hero to them ....and a traitor to us.
According to the Cornell Law school, Title 18 of the United States Code , Section 798, clearly outlines that any disclosure "concerning the communication intelligence activities of the United States or any foreign government:or" is a violation of disclosure of classified information. The Merriam-Webster definition of traitor is " one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty". Mr. Snowden had a duty as a contractor to the NSA to keep classified information classified, he chose not to, which is breaking the law .His obligation to our country and to the laws of our country should not be ignored.
