I received this email awhile back and need to create an Entity Relationship Diagram for this project. Please(if possible) create the diagram in erdplus.com. Export it as an image.

The Problem

I have a small school with 50 students and 5 teachers. Each teacher has a course load of 3 classes per year. We teach grades 8, 9, and 10. Below is a list of the courses offered:

Algebra

Geometry

Trigonometry

English Composition

English Literature

U.S. History

World History

Biology

Chemistry

Physics

Art

Music

Physical Education

Religion Old Testament

Religion New Testament

We are growing at leaps and bounds and expect to have over 100 students for next year with the addition of 5 more faculty members.

Our current system of keeping up with students, faculty, and courses involves the use of MS-Word and MS-Excel. We think maybe we need a database system, but were not sure.

Wed ideally like to be able to generate the following types of reports:

Class Rosters

Students Schedules

Students Transcripts

Grade Reports

Other things weve thought about, but have no idea what to do with:

Generating Bills

Financial Aid

Student Activity Courses

Teachers Salaries
