JR Plumbing Company Joe Richards is the owner of a private professional plumbing company which operates its business operations at Ypsilanti, Mi. In addition to himself, he employs a few full time workers and several part-time college students. Joe and one of the full time workers may manage the company while he is not in the store. He has been in business for ten years and gets his business from repeat customers and referrals from other individual customers, building contractors, interior designers, and paint stores. Customers often remember Joe better than he remembers them. He has decided that he needs a better record-keeping database system that can be used to quickly retrieve information about his current and former customers, such as their ID number, name, phone number, address, number of work orders, last order date, pay date, pay amount and referral customer. In addition, Joe wants to store the ID number, name, employee type, hourly wage, phone number address and number of weekly working hours on each of his employees. He already has detailed data about the individual jobs that his company has done for the current customers, such as the job number, job name, the beginning and end dates of the job, a brief description of the job, the amount billed and payment type. However, Joe would like to be able to easily relate this data to the job's customer and to his employees who worked on the job. Manicustomere may be referred by other businesses or individual entamer Many customers may be referred by other businesses or individual customers. For business referrals Joe thinks it would be a good idea to store customer data about the referral sources with their company ID number, name, address, business code and type of referral so he can send a thank-you note to the business for each referral. He wants to recognize only one referral source for a customer and he has no interest in storing data on the self-referrals. He would like to be able to produce a report showing his customers and their referral sources from the database
