I select the trait theory as having less validity or legitimacy. The trait theory is based on the leader's personality and the individuals that complement the team. I can say that personality plays a significant role in a person and the outcomes of the performances or actions and is required to be part of a team; however, personality is not what is going to get the job done, and a lot of times, that is what it makes a person to be excluded or discharge so I can say that when a leader request for an individual to have a positive attitude and to be open to show the real personality, not all the time that personality that is requested at the beginning is let to show or is not a match with the leader and that is when conflict starts. It creates a hostile, uncomfortable, miserable environment. Therefore, I can say that the trait theory is not legitimate (Malo, 2012). references
