Some segments of society contend that companies that sell alcoholic beverages and tobacco products cannot be socially responsible organizations because of the nature of their primary products. Do you believe New Belgiums actions and initiatives are indicative of a socially responsible corporation? Why or Why not? 3. I think they are a very socially responsible company. They have shown through a number of donations and energy need reductions that they are not only concerned about the environment but also that they want to give back to those that allow them to be in business. NBB has embraced the fact that their customers keep them in business and pay their bills. But they arent just worried about keeping their customers happy but also about keeping others happy as well. They participate in a number of philanthropic activities that clearly show they are a cut above the rest when it comes to giving.
