Discussion 4 - Ethics, CSR, Environmental Sustainability \& Strategy We have covered concepts of ethics, corporate social responsibility, and environmental sustainability in relation to corporate strategy to create competitive advantage and long-term value for shareholders in this chapter. Using moral and business cases to adapt these strategies outlined in this chapter, please provide appropriate examples to answer one of the following questions. Please provide citations for all the research using your textbook and scholarly resources (minimum one source other than your textbook) as references. 1. A company which had an ethical issue and tell us how they handled it. Could be a big/small company and a big/small issue. Your post should (1) discuss the conditions that gave rise to unethical business strategies and behavior and (2) provide an overview of the costs resulling from the company's business ethics fallure. Support you comments. 2. Find a company that is using CSR and sustainablity to make revenue and profits. Tell us the company and how big a part of their business "sustainability" fits into. How are the company's various stakeholder groups affected by its commitment to social responsibility? How would you evaluate its triple-bottom-line performance? Support you comments. The first students to post will have the easiest time. If someone already posted a company then others can not use the same company/product. 2.
