I want to conduct a study on recruitment and selection, focusing on technology platforms. I plan to discuss examples of technological usage across the four stages of the recruitment and selection process. In the attraction stage, I will provide reviews and studies on how online/internet recruitment, especially social networking websites, has dramatically changed the focus of attracting candidates effectively. In the next screening stage, we discuss how cyber vetting and applicant tracking systems offer opportunities but also threats for recruiters and candidates. In the third stage of employee selection, we focus primarily on two new selection methods: the asynchronous/digital interview and gamification/games-based assessment, along with the critical role and impact applicant reactions have on the selection process. Finally, I briefly discuss the main technological developments in onboarding and socialization, and we conclude with a few suggestions for future research in this field
