I want to include three leadership qualities vision, engagement and accountability for my paper ( see below this submission). I want to really delve into those qualities and I would like some guidance as to the best way to articulate it.
Communication and collaboration with getting my team together to tackle the lack of diversity in the clinic and towards our patients. What other evidence based strategies can I use to accomplish this? And can I get a couple examples?
Thank you.

It is a fantastic opportunity to lead, especially because cultural competence is an interesting area for me. I believe that culture invites healthcare providers an opportunity to offer individualized care because the standard practice offered to other patients cannot be applied to this community. It seems even more important at this time because, according to Nair and Mayo (2019), about fty percent of the US population will comprise minorities. That brings to attention the need for cultural competence in healthcare, and Where else better to start other than in a facility like ours? Therefore, I agree that something has to be done to ensure that patients 'om diverse communities, particularly our Haitian neighbors, feel comfortable coming to us for treatment. It is understandable how miscommunication can occur between the healthcare providers and the community due to cultural incompetence. Therefore, this project needs a leader with outstanding qualities to help the team bridge the gap between Lakeland Clinic and the Haitian community. This project will require including members of Lakeland Clinic and the Haitian community, among other experts on diversity issues. Four to six members on this team should include at least two from the Lakeland clinic, two from the Haitian community, and one culturally competent expert. The leader that would work for me is Marc Harrison, the president, and CEO of Interrnountain Healthcare. Harrison is an international and well-known innovative leader. He has been successful in medical leadership, evidenced by his numerous successful programs and projects, such as developing one of the largest virtual hospitals in the nation (Long, 2019). Also, he has launched a project that would help develop generic drugs cutting down costs and making them affordable and available to patients. He is agile, purposeful, courageous, and always keeps the people he is helping at the forefront of all projects. His qualities are similar to this project's needs since it requires a leader willing to be courageous, for it is not for faint-hearted. A purposeful leader who is willing to listen and ensure the project is for the good of the community and especially our Haitian patients. That is only possible if the leader puts the concerned members at the center, meaning the project makes their lives better and unied. In addition, the leader must be exible and ready to learn from the Haitian community and its culture. They must have the perseverance to keep pushing until solutions are found and the situation turned around (Jogger; et al., 2018). Marc Harrison and I share similar principles such as courage and exibility, always remembering that it is about the people and giving care, innovation, empathy, and actively listening. While he is passionate about creating systems that give the best care technologically, I am passionate about inclusion and diversity. If diversity is lacking, technology may not be of use because, in our context setting, most Haitians will not be comfortable seeking care from people they feel do not understand them, however modern it may be. I believe that more benets will reach the people when the caregivers are diverse and culturally competent, and the clinic is updated with modern healthcare systems. We both are focused on improving systems and making life easier for people. My role on the team is to facilitate the project, which makes me realize that I will need to be skillful in my transformational and collaboration qualities. Since the team has members of the community, healthcare providers and Haitian nationals, collaboration is necessary as we share information that will help work out the issue of diversity. It will be important to inspire the group to keep the course, particularly when it becomes challenging. It may include going into the eld to understand the Haitian culture better and to allow the team to create meaningful change and to provide them with the quality care they require (Diggle et al., 2020). The expert can further dissect the information we gather from the group members and the community to help us understand what has been missing and how to correct the situation. In addition, they can help explain to the community from the medical eld why we do certain things that may be contrary to their way of life and how we can nd common ground. This project can uncover solutions such as training and educational programs offered to both teams, to effect real change. The most important aspect of this project is communication since, as stated above, it is easy to misunderstand each other, especially with the language barrier between the two communities. Therefore, the language barrier between the two communities. Therefore, communication tools and methodologies must be carefully chosen to avoid conicts arising from miscommunication. One main methodology would be face-to-face since it would foster trust, condence, respect and help the team lay down the project's groundwork (Nair & Adgtayo, 2019). Other methodologies can be occasional conference calls and video calls, depending on the amount of time allocated for the project. Since collaboration is a major aspect of this project, the two other methodologies would come in handy when the members give information on their tasks. As they report to the group, they can use either conference or video calls via this communication media, principles such as accountability will be fostered since communication channels will be open and effective. That way, all the recommendations and policies suggested can be effectively evaluated before they are presented to the leadership for further evaluation and implementation. It would be a great honor to work on this project since it will be an opportunity to hone my leadership skills, be an effective leader and participate in a project I am passionate about. Enclosed are more strategies I would like to use to work through this issue, including checking our hiring practices, hospital culture, further training, and education programs during patient visitations. I believe working on this project will change Lakeland Clinic's delivery of services and the Haitian community's outlook of our ability to deliver customer focused C areStep by Step Solution
