Show your full working for Question 1 below: Note that there are 2 parts to the question Part A: A load cell in a weight scale has the following specifications: Input Range 0-5 kg Output Range 0-10 mV Linearity Error 0.18% f.s.o. Hysteresis Error (max)? Determine the Hysteresis Error (max) of the load cell in %f.s.o. (percent full-scale output) if the overall error of the load cell is + 0.03 mV (6 marks). Part B A digital pH meter is known to be a first order pH measuring device. The pH meter is initially at the pH of 7. It is then placed in a solution with a pH of 12. If the time constant of the pH meter is 10 s, how much time is required for the pH meter to return a reading of 95% of the input value? (4 marks)
