I would say that I understand various aspects of managing project risk on an IT project, I feel like having a baseline understanding of how to manage risk is a solid foundation. While foundation is great, it won't cover every type of issues run into and there will be a ton of learning along the way when managing more and more IT projects. Taking those failures, documenting, and learning from them will make the most well rounded project manager in the future. Even the successes would be beneficial to document and analyze how they could have potentially been better too
