ICT158 Introduction to Information Systems Workshop 11 - Future trends in IS

This week's workshop has some exercises relating to the material in Topic 11: future trends in IS.

The exercises are to be handed in as part of your ePortfolio submission 3. Answer the questions in the exercises, and include a section for your reflection on how they fit into the week's topic and your learning.

At the completion of this tutorial you should have gained practice in:

Describing the key features of some current and future trends and how organisations can make use of them

Explaining where organisations are positioned on the technology adoption curve.

Exercise: Green IT

Increasingly, organisations are looking at how they can become more 'green'. This makes sense not only environmentally, but often economically as well.

From an organisational website (again, either from the examples provided in previous tutorials, or a 'new' one of your choice), research what it is doing to enhance its sustainability credentials.

Do you think it could/should be doing more? If so, what? What would influence its decision?
