At one time, people predicted paperless offices in which all information was processed electronically, and hard copy was nonexistent. Instead, paper use has risen more than 40 percent over the past 30 years, and the largest increase is in the use of office paper. Why is this the case? Can, and should, we try to reduce paper use?
