Identify and explain deficiencies in the system of NIDUS Co and provide a recommendation to address each of these deficiencies? It's an audit question:

 

NIDUS markets itself on having the option to despatch all orders within five working days. When the order is taken, the sales rep notifies the accounts department and warehouse despatch team with the customers' and the sales order details and from this a pick list is produced. Sequentially numbered goods despatched notes are completed and filed in the warehouse. NIDUS Co sells furniture to a range of hotels/restaurants. Sales are made through a website and showrooms by sales person also new customers are referred by a third party. Sales person are answerable for evaluating new clients' reliability and proposing a credit limit which is then approved by the sales manager. The sales person have monthly sales targets and are able to use their discretion in allowing discounts up to a maximum of 5%. They then record any discount allowed in the customers' main control account ledger.
