Find five (5) articles related to current Canadian legal disputes or legal issues in Canada. The articles must meet the following criteria:
- Each article must be dated between September 5, 2021 and November 21, 2021.Articles dated outside this timeframe are not acceptable.
- Each article must come from a different week within the acceptable timeframe.In other words, you can not choose two or more articles dated in the same week.
- A maximum of one of your five articles may relate to a criminal law matter. To be clear, you do not have to pick a criminal law article at all. But if you do, your other four chosen articles must relate to a different area of law.
- Each article you choose must relate to a different legal issue or dispute.In other words, multiple articles on the same legal issue or dispute are not acceptable.
- Each article you choose must be at least five paragraphs
- Do not include editorials or opinion pieces.
- Articles must relate to legal issues/disputes in Canada only, not international disputes.
For each article you find, you will identify the following:
- Does the article illustrate a procedural or substantive law matter?
- If substantive, what specific area/field of law is raised by the legal issue/dispute described in the article?
- give a brief summary of the article two paragraphs
Organization of your Assignment: For each of the 5 articles, number the Article in the title (ie. Article #1), then include the following information, labelling each one with the appropriate lettering (ie. a. or b. etc. up to g.):
- Title of Article
- Date of Article
- Source of the Article (ie. CBC News)
- Link to the Article
- State if it illustrates a procedural law or substantive law matter.
- If substantive, indicate what specific area (or areas) of law is/are involved.
