If it's a leap year, should we use 366 days instead of 365 days when calculating ratios? You could if you wanted to, but in general, the added precision of one day will not make a significant difference in the calculations. For simplicity, many companies simply use 365 days, without worrying about whether or not a given year is a leap year. In this course, we will follow this convention and always use 365 when needed
