If the dollar-euro exchange rate raises this means a depreciation of the dollar against the euro - according to my textbook. I'm really confused about this because if the dollar-euro exchange rate raises, for example from E$/e = 0,85 to E$/e = 0,90, this means that the euro depreciates or the dollar appreciates - if i'm interpreting this in the right way. Could you explain this to me?
