If the estate is not sufficient to pay all valid claims:

a$.$ the executor can object to all claims so the beneficiaries receive some assets.

b$.$ the funeral and burial expenses have lowest priority.

c$.$ the claims will abate in accordance with state law.

d$.$ the executor may have to pay the debts with personal funds.
