Customer Blames Kohl's Store for Injuries West Virginia Record Philip Gonzales Nov. 16, 2016 WHEELING - A Wheeling woman is suing operators of a Kohl's store, alleging their negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff. Mary Jean Hohman filed a lawsuit Oct. 26 in Ohio Circuit Court against Jane Doe and Kohl's Illinois Inc., claiming Kohl's failed to properly train and supervise its employees on the safety operation of storage carts. According to the complaint, on Nov. 7, 2014, Hohman wasat a Kohl's store in Triadelphia when Jane Doe, a store employee, lost control of a storage cart causing it to tip over and collide with Hohman. The suit says Hohman suffered injuries resulting in physical, mental and emotional pain, annoyance, inconvenience and she incurred medical bills. The plaintiff alleges Jane Doe was moving the cart at a high rate of speed and failed to maintain proper lookout. Hohman claims the cart and undescribed merchandise fell on her, knocking her to the floor. Hohman seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages
