If you look closely at these road signs (which are the same ones as were displayed in the text), giving distances from two different points on I-65 to Montgomery and Calera, you will notice that they don't "add up". The first sign says that it is 10 miles to Calera and 68 miles to Montgomery. The second sign says that it is 3 miles to Calera and 65 miles to Montgomery. We have driven 7 miles closer to Calera, but only 3 miles closer to Montgomery, on the same freeway. Using Google Earth and your new understanding about the relativity of distance, determine whether this is actually possible, or the Alabama highway department made a mistake.
