I'm looking at results from a research study that tested whether or not rats would choose an alcoholic solution over a nonalcoholic one. The rats were given one of the two solutions each day for 10 days (alternating days). Then, they were given the choice between the two solutions. I have a data file with the numbers, in grams, of how much alcoholic solution the rats chose to drink versus how much nonalcoholic solution they drank. The question is "How much, on average, do rats drink of alcohol-paired and non-alcohol paired flavors?," and I'm just not sure what statistical tool I would use to figure that out.
