Choose one of the following three scenarios proposal:

Using the following section a digital (MS PowerPoint) proposal presentation to convince management. Your objective is to convince senior management that your idea is a good idea and worth the investment of time and money. The goal is to persuade the company to proceed with and approve your internal proposal.

  1. PROJECT TITLE SLIDE: Give your project a name.
    • Include your name and date in this slide.
  2. INTRODUCTION: Briefly introduce the product/process idea
    • What exactly are you proposing?
    • For what purpose? What are you hoping to achieve?
    • Include a drawing, photograph, picture, or video to represent your idea.
  3. RATIONALE: What is the business need for the project? (may be several slides)
    • Background information (current situation).
    • Why it should be done (need and evidence supporting need).
    • Market/Industry research. (post-secondary industry)
    • Competitor research. (North American colleges and universities)
    • Statistics.

    • Graphs and tables can be included here to visually express this.
  5. PROJECT STRENGTHS AND RISKS
    • What are the project strengths? (areas you strongly feel will be successful).
    • What are the project risks (areas you feel have risk of failure or issue).
    • How do you plan to prepare for and mitigate the risks?
  6. PROJECT SCOPE: What will and will not be included in the project?
    • Consider using a table (In Scope / Out of Scope)
  7. SUMMARY: Summarize the overall idea, project, benefits and need.
    • This is where you give your final persuasive call to action.
    • The idea should be appealing and interesting.
  8. REFERENCES:Include a reference slide
    • All quotations and images should have an end reference to accompany the intext citation.
