In 2021, the ML.B announced they would partner with Candy Digital to create an NFT marketplace for the feague. While the league has traditionally otfered physical tickets for their postseason games, this season has shown to be completely different. The MLB announced before the ALCS and NLCS that they Would be giving away 2022 MLB Postseason Commemorative Ticket NFTs to any fan who attends a 2022 Postseason game as a way to enhance the moderit fan experience. This was the league's approach to digitizing the traditional ticket stub that fans have often kept as loeepsakes for attending such sames, and these NFTs will feature some of the traditional elements-such as matchup details, game location and time, and will also include a photo gallery with some of the game's highlights right after the game. Another special feature of these NFTs is that MLB and Candy Digital have also selected eight random 2022 Mi.B ICON Leadoff Series packs to include an ultra-rare World Series Token NFT that can be redeemed for two tickets to the World Series game of the winner's choice.
