In 2022 a group of people organized a protest against the ongoing vaccine mandates.  This protest was named the "Freedom Convoy."  The movement began as a protest against the Government's imposed Covid 19 mandates.  It grew in number of participants and resulted in the blocking of city streets and border crossings and ended with the Government enacting a rarely utilized "Emergency Act" measures.

 

In this negotiation scenario, one side will take the position of the protestors while the other side will take the position of either the city of Ottawa or the Federal government.

 

Research the event from all positions, cite your work and ensure all submissions are loaded to the respective submission folder.

 

Preparation a Report from the scenario

The Preparation Report will be completed with each group separately. Each group is asked to prepare a report that addresses the following topics and sub-questions:
a. What is my negotiation strategy?

e. Which issues are necessary to negotiate?
f. What is the prioritization of these issues?
g. What is your opening offer, a list of possible concessions you would

j. What are each of your roles during the negotiation?
