In a recent job fair held on the first Saturday of the month, the interview panel selected a group of young talents with expertise in several technologies to meet the needs of our customer. The client has set aside a predetermined amount of money for this group of up-and-coming artists, and at no cost will they boost that amount. Each new employee will have an annual budget of $30,000 set by the customer. As a result, it will be difficult to negotiate a salary with one candidate since they are hoping for a slightly higher salary (i.e., $40,000) than what the employer is willing to pay. The panel doesn't want to lose the applicant because they picked him or her based on very positive feedback from each interviewer.
We (HR team) have decided to negotiate with the candidate on many terms and policies on the role that the company is offering which equals to $40,000 of what other companies are paying. So, the negotiating discussion will cover the following topics.
