In a recent story on NPR the reporter shared this in reference to an economy in Latin America: "People are spending their [money] as fast as they can. Stockpiling necessities, things like toilet paper, flour, sugar. People who have a little extra are going on spending sprees. Fancy restaurants are booked solid. People bring backpacks of cash to buy a flat screen TV or concert tickets ...." Describe the economic environment in which people would act this way and discuss the unfortunate outcome. Be sure to specify 1) why they would spend money "as fast as they can" and why people are transacting with "backpacks of cash" (why cash and why so much is needed). Be sure to include the natural outcome of all of the spending. What is the unfortunate irony here
