A customer can have many orders, but a particular order is associated with only one customer.

In a many-to-many relationship, many rows of data in Table A may be associated with many rows of data in Table B. In Mary's Rentals there is a many-to-many relationship between the Order and Equipmenttables. An order can be for many different pieces of equipment, and a particular piece of equipment can be on many different orders.
