In an ammonia production plant, nitrogen is transported through a 4 cm diameter pipe. An orificemeter is placed inside the pipe to measure the flow rate of nitrogen. In order to find the orifice coefficient, pitot tubes were placed in the pipe from 3 different points (A, B and C) as shown in the figure below, and the results are given in the table below. Pressure drops are measured from manometers at points A, B and C. Find the orifice coefficient (Co) according to these data. The density and viscosity of nitrogen at 18C are 1.185 kg/m3 and 1.75 x 10-5 kg/m.s, respectively. In the manometer connected to the orificemeter, the pressure dimage text in transcribedrop is read as 240 Pa and the orifice diameter is 1 cm. (Y=1)
