In class, I described how families operate like dynamic systems. The properties include wholeness, subsystems, accommodation and assimilation, and mutuality of influence. I also described some historical and demographical changes that are affecting families. Divorce and remarriage is one of these types of changes. Briefly illustrated each of the four qualities of the family dynamic system in relation to a presumed divorce and remarriage. Important: I am not concerned for the moment that you display an accurate and scientific grasp of the consequences of divorce on families. You can use your everyday understanding. I am interested in whether you have an accurate understanding of dynamic systems' properties and can use something like divorce and remarriage to illustrate them. Thus if your understanding of how divorce and remarriage affects families is incorrect, it doesn't matter so long as your description of divorce show that you understanding of the properties of family dynamic systems is correct.
