In destinations like Venice, the large number of day trippers result in high pressures on the natural and built environment, whilst the economic benefits they bring to the destination are often rather small. More and more destination like Venice use various Visitor Management Techniques, with both hard and soft measures in order to control their visitor's flow. Please explain what hard and soft measures are and give 3 examples which technique a destination and or attraction could use in order to effectively address the problems caused by intense visitation.
