In each scenario, you need to Explain what you (the tenant) can do, should do, are empowered to do, or prevented from doing. Cite the lease or the law where you found the explicit information about how to resolve the situation 1. The lease expires today and rent is normally due tomorrow. You want to stay and the landlord is okay with you staying but has not had you sign a new lease. What do you do? 2. Today is the 13th of the month. You have been on a month-to-month lease for 3 months now. You have an opportunity to move to another place that is more ideal for you. What do you need to do to terminate this lease? 3. You have just found this great place. It is the 6th of the month. You want to move in when you get paid on the 15th. The landlord agrees. How much will the rent be for this month (30 days)? 4. You were 5 days late with rent last month. You are on time with rent this month. What is your late fee? If you pay your regular rent total what will happen to the late charges and rent? 5. Upon moving out you make sure the property is clean and in good repair. You took pictures of the place when you moved in and it looks very much the same. You do not owe any back rent or late fees. Do you expect to get your deposit back
