. . . we're heading into a new eranew for the sector and new for those who aspire to lead and manage it. Nonprofits will play even more roles of pivotal significance in the shared-power global environment of tomorrow, and their leaders and managers will be those who become adept at identifying, understanding, and addressing the dynamic needs and challenges of an environment characterized by greater variation and complexity, coupled with cycles of change that are deeper and faster than we traditionally have known. The pace of change and the extent of that change will demand a greater level of knowledge, sophistication, and skill from those who aspire to lead and manage these organizations.
