In Java, Draw your social network such as Facebook, Linkedin and twitter by using graph. Explain how does social network is an example of graph application. Analyze your social network and answer the questions asked in the attached document.
Build your Team's Network
For the purpose of this exercise, assume that you dont know people you know only through class. If you know team mates through shared activities outside of class, that counts. You will draw a diagram of your teams social network. Before you start drawing the network, try to figure out who connects you. You may refer to social networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. to search for shared connections. You may be connected simply through friends or more distantly through friends of friends of friends, etc. Look for hubs. Those are nodes that are connected to a lot of other nodes instead of just a few.
Share Your Network
We will combine team networks and try to get a network for the entire class, or at least a larger network that includes multiple teams. Depending on the classroom logistics (there are several sections of this class) we might not get everything added to the network. We will get as much as time and space permits so we will have something to analyze. Before we start, look for hubsnodes with lots of connections; hubs in your network are the best place to look for connections to other networks when we build the class network.
Look for hubsnodes with a lot of connections. Who are the hubs and how many connections do they have?
How many peripheral nodes are there? Look for nodes with just one link to the network.
Try to find two nodes who you think represent the furthest distance in the networkthere 2/3 might be multiple candidates; pick two. Who are they and how many connections are there between them?
Mathematicians define a clique as neighboring nodes that share vertexes between them and maximal cliques the largest possible collection of contiguous cliques. Visually, you can think of it as looking for triangles: If 3 nodes form a triangle with their connections (as opposed to, for example, a quadrilateral), they are a clique. A maximal clique is all of those triangles that connect to each other. Looking at just your team graph, how many maximal cliques are in your team?
How big is the biggest clique?
Stealth marketers try to make things seem like grass-root trends by having regular people use/flaunt/hype their products. If you were a stealth marketer and you wanted to best position your product, which student in the class would you give a free sample to?
If you had two free products to give out, who would you give them to?
Did the same person show up in both answers, or did it make sense to give it to different people if you had two samples? Why/Why not?
