In large hotels with a full-time sales staff, hotel salespersons are typically paid a salary and (if their work is superior) a bonus for their work. In many other industries, salespersons are only paid the commissions they earn. Why do you think hotel salesperson are rarely, if ever, paid "commission-only" for their effort?
