In Matlab, generate three random numbers x, y and z, and compute x + (y + z) and (x + y) + z. Do they agree? Try this a few times with dierent random numbers, of dierent magnitudes, and observe what happens. What would have to be true of x, y and z to cause a signicant deviation?
