In module 1 we learned about the many different health benefits of a walking program. Aside from these benefits what are you motivations for walking? Some people are motivated intrinsically and others may work better with extrinsic motivation. For example extrinsic would be if I get a personal record on a 5k I am going to buy myself a new pair of shoes. Intrinsic motivators would want to get the time on the 5k just for personal satisfaction/goals accomplished. Are you more motivated extrinsic or intrinsic? If you are extrinsic what are some of the rewards you have planned for yourself? Your motivations could be also influenced by current health status, wanting to get to a certain milage/weight/feel healthier. Please note that starting a new program will help health but there are many other components to losing weight/feeling healthier
